Who determines if and when I will be flown?
If the patient requires urgent medical attention, this will be determined by a doctor in our Operations Center who will process the service request.
What does my membership include?
The membership is a subscription based program that provides protection against medical transport costs, which may not be included in your medical insurance coverage.
Who can join?
Every individual can obtain a membership with us. There are no limitations, but the head of household should have a valid Identification; it doesn’t matter the amount of dependents.

Will my membership cover all my family members?
No. Your family members should be included in your membership so they can be covered. Each of them will have their own membership card.
Is there a limit to the number of flights a member can have in a year?
There is no limit to the number of flights a member may take in a year.
Who decides when to fly the patient?
When a helicopter is called, time is of essence. Patients in life threatening situations often need specialty centers to provide the interventions needed. Aeroambulancia will take a patient to the closest appropriate medical facility. Whenever possible, our medical personnel consult with the patient or the patient's families as these decisions are being made.
Will a helicopter always be available if I need one?
There may be times when the helicopter in your area is committed on another patient flight or is out of services for maintenance or weather-related issues.
Are there other reasons why a helicopter might not be able to fly me?
The primary determinant of whether to accept a flight is always the safety of the patient and our medical flight crews. Federal Aviation Administration restrictions prohibit Aeroambulancia from transporting patients under certain conditions, such as flying in inclement weather or when weight limits are exceeded.
When does my membership take effect?
Membership starts 10 days after Aeroambulancia receives a complete application with full payment; however the waiting period will be waived for unforeseen events occurring during such time.
If I decide to cancel my membership, can I do this at any moment?
No. You would have to wait a period of 12 months to do so.
